EXT UCM exhibirá aclamada cinta “Billy Elliot”

Con la presencia de diversas autoridades universitarias y regionales, se inauguró la cafetería inclusiva “Mosaico”, que se ubica en el segundo piso del Centro de Extensión de la Universidad Católica del Maule en Talca.
Así, al cumplirse un año desde la puesta en marcha de la Ley de Inclusión Laboral, este proyecto da que hablar y es por ello que las autoridades como el doctor Diego Durán Jara, rector de la UCM; Pilar Sazo Mendoza, Seremi del Trabajo y Previsión Social; y Claudia Ebner Vargas, Seremi (s) de Desarrollo Social, coincidieron en lo importante de la iniciativa, que genera espacios para lograr una sociedad más equitativa.
El rector de la UCM comentó que este proyecto “nace especialmente del interés que existe en la Universidad de poder establecer un vínculo con la sociedad completa, desde ese punto de vista hay que generar los espacios de inclusión necesarios para que todas las personas se sientan partícipes de la construcción de esta sociedad”.
Junto con ello expresó que “en esta cafetería, específicamente, trabajan dos personas con discapacidad auditiva, lo que les permite incorporarse a la vida laboral y para nosotros es motivo de orgullo”.
En la emotiva ceremonia, Juan Gabriel y Rodolfo, trabajadores del acogedor recinto, agradecieron la oportunidad y explicaron lo motivados que se encuentran con este nuevo desafío, que no es fácil, pero sí les permite desarrollarse.
Por su parte, Bárbara Godoy Inostroza, directora de Extensión Cultural, dijo que la labor de su institución es “brindar oportunidades, dar apoyo a los grupos vulnerables y en eso damos un gran énfasis sobre como se trabaja la vinculación con el medio en la UCM, insertos en la realidad, en el territorio y conectados con las necesidades del entorno”.
En la misma línea, Juan Ignacio Baltera, fonoaudiólogo talquino impulsor del proyecto, indicó que la cafetería Mosaico es un renacer de la pastelería Rahmy y agregó que “creemos que estos chicos merecen la oportunidad de insertarse laboralmente, para obtener beneficios para su vida y una retribución económica”.
