Con el objetivo de conocer y visibilizar los escenarios que habitan los artistas en la actualidad, la Red de Universidades Públicas no Estatales G9 realizó el 24 de julio el primer encuentro de extensión cultural titulado “Deconstrucción de las artes y sus artistas”.
Este primer encuentro se enmarca en el ciclo G9: Reflexiones desde la cultura en escenarios de crisis y fue transmitido por las plataformas digitales de la Radio UACh y contó, además, con la colaboración en transmisión de las radios de la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María y de la Universidad de La Serena.
El conversatorio, que tuvo más de 1300 reproducciones en Facebook Live de la Radio UACh, fue moderado por Bárbara Godoy, Directora de Extensión, Arte y Cultura de la Universidad Católica del Maule y tuvo como panelistas a Yanko González poeta, director de ediciones UACh y académico del Instituto de Historia y Cs. Sociales de esta casa de estudios; Leonora Vicuña, fotógrafa, una de las fundadoras de la Asociación de Fotógrafos Independientes; Diana Theocharidis, Directora Artística del Teatro de la Ribera de Buenos Aires y José Luis Domínguez, director de orquesta y compositor que se desempeña actualmente como Artistic Director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Academy.
El Presidente de la Red G9, Rector Diego Durán, de la Universidad Católica del Maule dio las palabras de bienvenida agradeciendo a los asistentes y en especial a los panelistas de este encuentro. Además, destacó que instancias como éstas son un privilegio para las universidades que conforman la red, para discutir acerca de la cultura en los momentos complejos que estamos viviendo a nivel mundial y nacional. “Sin duda alguna, estamos viviendo un escenario de cuestionamiento, cada uno de nosotros ha tenido que reinventarse, ha tenido que volver a mirar lo que hace en el día a día de manera distinta y por supuesto las artes y la cultura no se han quedado fuera de esta realidad. El desafío es volver a trabajar en un horizonte que es muy incierto. Nosotros como universidades, manteniendo siempre un vínculo muy profundo con nuestra sociedad en Chile y a nivel mundial, también hemos querido generar espacios que puedan permitir a la ciudadanía, a nuestras comunidades y a las distintas comunidades, dialogar, conversar y reflexionar en torno a la crisis social y sanitaria que nos afecta”, señaló el Rector Durán. Finalmente, el Presidente de la Red G9 invitó a todos los participantes a “cooperar y colaborar en esta reflexión que siempre cuando es compartida es una mejor reflexión”.
El segundo encuentro se realizará el 20 de agosto y lleva como título “Transformaciones de la educación, las artes y los territorios”.
